On the cover of this vintage Fairy Tales storybook is a witch dressed in a maroon colored robe. She is seated in front of a large black cauldron as she stirs its contents with a crooked wooden stick. As the witch stirs, several storybook characters emerge from the cauldron and shoot through the sky. Some of those characters are: Puss-in-Boots, one of the three bears, and Alice in Wonderland hanging on to the rabbit for dear life. Fairy Tales was compiled by Rose Allyn, illustrated by G. M. Burd and Violet Moore Higgins. It was published in 1918.
