Our precious old boy, Little Bear, made it to his 14th birthday! We went through a sad/scary time in August when he had a severe flareup of osteoarthritis but he had cortisone shots in his elbows and that has worked well for him. He’s also now on a daily routine of anti inflammatory and pain meds as well as some herbal things (fish oil, glucosamine and a product called E-Z Mobility). He is old and slowing down and Ken carries him up and down the flight of stairs to the second story of our house now but Little Bear is doing as well as can be expected for his age and with his arthritis. We’re thankful that he is still with us.
Little Bear’s 14th birthday was yesterday and this is one of the ‘birthday’ pictures I took but the day was busy and I didn’t have a chance to post it until now.
What a sweet face! My kitty cat is on glucosamine too. She’s 12 and it does wonders for her. Happy Birthday, Little Bear! 🙂
