Here is a vintage black and white clipart illustration of a cow. It’s a Cross-Bred Jersey-Ayrshire and is from the September 1878 issue of the American Agriculturist magazine.
Hi, Julie! Thank you for noting the source of this very nice heifer/cow image. I was able to search archive.org and find the original, as well as many more farm related illustrations & adverts. Thanks again!!
I scanned the image from the original magazine in my collection. If this magazine is available on archive.org, you’ll find the images there are very low resolution images and not the quality I’m willing to use for my graphics. I can no longer afford to keep doing this though and I am no longer blogging. I’ve started selling my vintage postcard collection on Etsy (TheOldePaperShoppe) and I’m planning to sell a lot of the other ephemera, magazines, and books in my collection as well, perhaps in paper packs and/or junk journal kits.
