This vintage Vanilla & Tonka Miner’s Pure Extracts label is free for you to download. The alcohol content of this extract was 62 percent! They don’t make vanilla like that anymore. In fact, I don’t know if the pure vanilla extract in my pantry has any alcohol content at all.

My daughter spent some time showing me the ropes on Pinterest last weekend. It was easy to learn, especially with her coaching. I am loving Pinterest and since I have this week off work, I’ve been spending a lot of time pinning!
One of the things I’ve pinned is a recipe for homemade vanilla that I’d like to make and it does have a high alcohol content. I enjoy baking and like to use the best quality ingredients so I’m curious to see if the homemade vanilla is going to make a difference in taste.
